A Very Pretty Word

Andre's Place Theatre Co's Inaugural Production

My dear friend Rodolfo Soto conceptualized "A Very Pretty Word" in early 2016. Since it was first performed, it has evolved from a 20 minute one-act to a full-length piece. In the wake of the 2016 election, the humanity of the show spoke to something we all needed to hear. The first full-length performance of "A Very Pretty Word" took place the weekend of both Trump's inauguration and the Women's March that followed in January of 2017. I have not been able to get the show out of my mind since stage managing the inaugural production, and look forward to being a part of its future.

ABOUT

A Very Pretty Word is the story of the stages of grief following one's breakup with their first love. From their first kiss to the bitter end, Andre and Ella prove they were probably never meant to be - but that doesn't make the realization any less painful.

A Very Pretty Word runs approximately 100 minutes, no intermission.
